Also, since it’s only a couple weeks away, we should be plugging the fact that we’ll be at the Denver Comic Con on May 31-June 2nd, in Denver, CO. We won’t have a table in artist alley. We’re going to be in Podcast Peak sitting at the Comic Geek Speak table.

So if you’re in the Denver area, come see us. The show sounds AMAZING! You can check out the episode that CGS did with the organizers of Denver and hear about the amazing programming.

Neither of us has ever been to Denver so we’re looking for recommendations for food and things to do around the convention center. Last time you guys were great for recommendations for Seattle. I still dream about how good the food in Seattle was.

When we first got Selina, she would wake Bill up in the morning by knocking over his stuff on the nightstand. At one point it got so bad that we couldn’t keep anything on the nightstand or dresser and we kicked her out of the bedroom at night. Of course the constant meowing and paw under the door kept me awake for hours so that didn’t last very long.

At some point we did a little rearranging in the house and we put a small bookcase next to my side of the bed. That became a playground for Selina in the morning. I’d wake up to her next to my head, front paws resting on books and launching them off the shelf. We finally moved that bookcase because I was sick of the pile of books that were sitting on the floor.

Now she likes to jump next to my head, purring and gently clawing at the sheets to wake up and feed her. I’m not sure when she made the switch from Bill being her primary food giver to me, but at the moment I get that distinct pleasure. Usually at 4:18 in the morning, like clockwork.

So, the past few days have been a little stressful. You might have noticed the lack of strip on Monday and maybe noticed the blog post talking about a family emergency. And if you checked in later on the afternoon you might have read a slight explanation about the emergency.

My dad was in a car accident on Sunday afternoon. He’s ok, but he’s still in the hospital with fractured ribs and some broken vertebrae in his back. He should hopefully be home in the next day or so.

As you might be able to imagine its been sorta a whirlwind around here, and I appreciate everyone being so understanding about the delay in the strip. I feel bad because we have been trying our best to get the strip back on track for you guys but sometimes life likes to throw you for a loop.

Next time though, if life wants to throw me for a loop I request it comes in the form of a stubbed toe. I think that’ll be easier to handle then phone calls saying your dad is in the hospital.

Hey Guys, it’s Dani. I wanted to give more of an update. A new strip should be up on Wednesday, not today like we originally had hoped for. My dad was in a car accident on Sunday night, so we spent a good part of the evening at the hospital. He’s OK, but things are sorta up in the air with our schedules at the moment.

UPDATE 4/29

Strip will be up later today! There was a bit of a family emergency. Everything’s fine now, but it ate up my drawing time. I expect to be able to finish it tonight after work.
