I meant to write this long blog post last night about how amazing our weekend was. How starting next week we’ll be on vacation and there will be some guest strips up and how we’ll be at Baltimore Comic Con the weekend after that. But I fell asleep. Really early. And didn’t do anything.
I want to thank our gracious host Adam for allowing us to stay at his parent’s house down in Stone Harbor. We got to spend the weekend with a lot of good friends, including Ms Danielle Corsetto, and most of the Comic Geek Speak guys for 2 days at the beach. It was the weekend away that Bill and I have been thinking about all summer long.
You can actually hear some of our shenanigans here. One of the CGS guys Pant’s went around the living room catching up with everyone. You can hear about the slight wardrobe malfunction I had at the beach. Bill is no where to be heard on the interview, I think he was hiding out on the porch.
Next week, starting Monday September 3rd, we will be on vacation in the Outer Banks. We’ve rented a house for a week with some friends and we are taking that time to have an actual grown up vacation. The first one we’veĀ taken in years. We will have guest strips all week long. That way Bill can take his time and start working on some work that has been backed up. Mainly the 9×12 Kickstarter commissions.
Speaking of Kickstarter, my goal is to have the rest of the books out before we leave on vacation. The International orders, you guys might take a little longer. Those involve custom forms I have to fill out. But I am investigating to see if I can do all that through the post office website.
Then, September 8 & 9 we will be at the Baltimore Comic convention in their artist alley. If you’re in the area, come see us.

I tried this once.
It did not end well
Hey you guys ever think about doing a Ustream video on how you two create a comic like Danielle C. and Lars do??? Love your work. How is Bill doing better I hope…
Hi! I’ve been reading All New Issues for a while, but I just recently realized that the two other webcomics Bill did involved the same characters. I found the first one, but I can’t find the second. Any pointers?
@James Dotson- We’ve talked about the idea of doing something like that, but we weren’t sure if people would actually want to watch it. Plus, it’s really just Bill sitting in his studio drawing with a movie on in the background. It’s pretty boring.
We’ve talked about the idea of having people send in questions and doing a weekly question and answer and putting the video up. Maybe we’ll try that out after vacation.
@Kat- The first strip Bill did was Nowhere Fast. Another friend of ours Jamie wrote the strip and Bill drew it. It had separate characters, based on real people. I’m not sure if it still exists somewhere on the internet. As for Silver Rage, it’s out there someplace in the ether.
We don’t link to it because we want the two strips to live separately. All new Issues isn’t a continuation of that strip, it is it’s own thing. It has characters that have the same names, but that’s about it.
Enjoy your vacation, you guys deserve it! And I suggest you try the fish tacos at Mama Kwan’s while you’re in OBX. They’re righteous and positive.
A person staying over is no problem. But all that stuff of his…
I got my book on Saturday, thank you! Enjoy your vacation. If you are going to Ocracoke be sure to visit the Village Craftsman on Howard St and ask Phil Howard about Blackbeard.
Just got my book. Can’t wait to read this in bed without worrying about my laptop overheating.
You guys are welcome in Stone Harbor anytime–even if you show up with all your worldly goods in tow, like Little Todd Lost here! Have fun in OBX.
