As a person who has Diverticulitus I can understand the pain he is going thru. The amature doctor in me asks does the pain move like a slow gel when he tosses and turns to get comfortable? If so that is a sign of Diverticulitus. Get well soon, Drink plenty of water and eat what you can.

Oof! After he’s back upright, might want to change diets : more un-processed food – should be around 30 grams of fiber a day. Go primitive – eat fruit, vegetables, make your own bread from whole-grain flour. Live a little !
