So, you’re probably wondering why there is a picture of Poison Ivy instead of a new strip.
Bill is under the weather at the moment.
We bought a new futon on Sunday. The futon came in a very large box. Bill carried this very large box into our basement. He thinks during the journey from the driveway to the basement he might have accidentally strained or pulled a muscle. It started hurting Monday, and grew progressively worse throughout the day and he’s now been in bed with an ice pack on the area all night. He seems to be OK, but he’s definitely in pain.
We’re hoping it’s just some crazy pulled muscle fluke and the pain will go away in the next day or two. Whatever it is, he’ll be seeing a doctor on Thursday just in case. Hopefully you will have a brand new strip on Friday.
But for the time being you get to see the piece Bill did for the NJ Superhero weekend, a charity auction that will be held in October to benefit SAFE in Hunterdon, NJ. It’s an organization that helps victims of domestic and sexual abuse. It’s a cause we both strongly believe in supporting and Bill donated this gorgeous piece to the auction.
When the piece goes up for auction we’ll let you know. We’re hoping it helps raise a lot of money.
Sorry again for the lack of strip. Bill feels really bad.

Rub some dirt in that wound! But seriously, I hope you recover soon.
Get better soon, Bill!
Go see a Chiropractor. If he had a bone malalign it’ll never feel right!!!
Gorgeous pic btw
WHHHYYYY!!!!
Oh duh already said why get better mate
As someone that’s been plagued by recurring back pain most of my adult life, my sympathies are with Bill. Rest up and get better, I can wait a while.
That combines two of my favourite things, wonderful picture.
Get well soon.
great pic. and dont just ice it, i habitually blow out my back at work at least once a year, steady diet of ibuprofen after its happened every six hours it doesnt help immediately but it builds up in the system and helps ease a lot of inflammation, also a heating pad (20 min on and at least 20 off) will help relax any seized muscles and release tension in the area (a hot bath works to, jacuzzis even better if its not painful to be in it). ice is only really effective right after it happens to keep it from swelling, or right after its realigned to freeze adjustments in place and reinforce em. good luck and feel better soon! love the strip, looking forward to more when ur up and at em again
What d said. Heal soonest!
Aww, Bill don’t feel bad! Take care of yourself first and foremost! And lovely lovely picture :3
this picture reminds me heavily of the Absinth Robette picture.
Be well. And now since I dig the picture I’ll go add some chocolate and cream to my coffee. You know…Mocha Mucha.
@Blargag I really like the Absinth Robette. The artist, Henri Privat-Livemont, worked in the same time period and style as the artist Alphonse Mucha, of who’s Job cigarette ad my sketch is based off. I think I could draw in the Art Nouvaeu style forever.

Why can I not get “Erté” out of my head?
