The Notebook was one of those movies that I SWORE I would only watch with a girl, preferably a girlfriend. I would have to throw out my man card to watch it without a girl having me watch it.

Stick to your guns, Dani. The Notebook is terrible and NOT a love story. It’s two incredibly selfish, angry people who can’t find anyone else to put up with their shit (for those who say, but she had a fiancé blah blah blah – she was NEVER herself with him and he was in love with a false version of her).

At least you can get behind angry, selfish villains. Angry, selfish protagonists? They’re just annoying. The shoot-’em-ups are WAY better.

The Notebook is a terribly, sad movie. Great love story yes, but horribly sad. 50 first dates is just horrific in soooo many ways.
