I really get a kick out of Robyn lounging on the sofa in the background of panel 2 like some woman in an Edouard Manet painting. It’s the little things in life.
Hey Dani and Bill…
How you guys doing? It was great seeing you guys again on Sunday at the Allentown show. Thanks for the book trade too. It’s always cool to check out what other stuff people put in their books. As you guys know from my first book, I always include the title of the strip with the actual strip itself. It never occurred to me to strip the titles out and put them all in the back pages. That was a neat idea.
Anyway Dani, I hope you know a lot of what i was saying about Bill getting faster with his art was all tongue-in-cheek. I can be that way sometimes at shows. Bill… basically I told Dani I saw you do an awesome job at Art Fight at Katsucon so I know you can crank out the art pretty fast if you need to – but we artists can be our own worst, perfectionistic enemies sometimes.
Anyway, since you guys are going to be in Baltimore next month, a bunch of us cartoonist types are getting together after the show on Saturday at the Pratt Street bar – right across the street from the convention center. If you want to hang out with us, just let me or Dawn Griffin know and we’ll be more than happy to welcome you guys with open arms.
