Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Ours was pretty fun, and exhausting. We went to the Steampunk World’s Fair on Friday night and had a fun time hanging out with friends and visiting with all the merchants and their pretty wares. I got to play dress up and try on corsets, while Bill held my purse and jacket. I didn’t actually buy one, but I did get to check out some awesome geeky designs. I got to try on this, a Dalek Corset, by the talented people at Festooned Butterfly. It was one of the coolest things. I also got to try on some more geeky corsets over at Pendragon Costumes. Both had Doctor Who and Dalek corsets and geeky dresses. It was really, really hard to contain my wallet. I hope to rock one at a convention in the future.
Speaking of conventions, if you didn’t know we’ll be guests at Anime Next in Somerset, NJ on June 8-10. It’s a great anime convention right in our backyard, and we’re really excited to be going. We’ll be selling books, sketches, buttons, and talking to anyone who will listen. If you’re an anime fan in the area, you should definitely check it out and come and say hi. Plus, you’ll want to see the Cosplay Burlesque show that weekend. You might see a familiar face up on stage in some capacity. (Hint it’s Bill) (Hint Hint he won’t be dancing). The best part about this show is we get to go home every night and sleep in our own bed.See you all on Wednesday!
