Hey, so if you think this strip looks a bit odd… yeah, you’d be right. I’ve been practicing with two different pens a lot lately, and I thought I’d give them both a try. I definitely like the first one, a Zebra Brush I recently received from Bobby Timony at the Super Wildpig Show. It’s smooth, and has great line weight variance.
The second two panels were done with my Pentel PocketBrush, which does not seem to work as well. I used that one to do the Calvin and Hobbes homage a couple weeks ago, and it worked better for that strip than this one. I’m going to have to figure out why that is before I use it to ink again.
Until then, probably going to stick to the Zebra for now. Thanks, Bobby!

Sorry we threw you all for a loop this past week.
Seems some people were having a hard time wrapping their head around the idea of Todd and Robyn hooking up again. Don’t worry, we’ll be exploring that in strips to come. I find half the fun of this strip is finding out why the characters do what they do. I’m sure we’ll find out sooner or later.
Have a nice weekend everyone!

Love the whole deal, and the plot twist with Todd and Robyn making their tryst a repeat event. Just started reading about about two weeks ago, and am really enjoying it. Great work, thank you for helping renew my love for comics!
There definitely is a difference in the way the backside of Todd’s head looks between panels one and two: the Zebra brush looks very nice.
Forbidden fruit juice tasted the best, I guess
Todd is still living with mommy huh. At least he’s not worried about ruining their friendship, just doesn’t want his mum thinking he is doing drugs.
I love how Robyn is all “We can’t keep doing this” and then “Same time tomorrow!” I can’t wait for you to explain why this happened. But how much time has passed since they all got drunk.
It doesn’t look to me that they are listening to each other.
I don’t know what I love more… Todd’s greatest concern being his mother, or the fact his mother is treating him like a kid in high school, and leaving “danger of pot” pamphlets out for him.
Maybe it’s just due to me being a CG Render Deviant, but I really can’t see any difference between the panels. I think this may be some difference only noticeable by the artist during production, or after while looking at the originals. To my eyes though, all the panels look awesome as always.
I’ve been enjoying your style since I first found the comics new incarnation. Keep up the good work.
I… I can’t see any difference in the artwork.
