@Polarized Sorry, Gavin’s not gay. But I’ve never written a character like that, so I’ll take that up as a challenge if I need to brainstorm something new!
Y’all talk about gay characters being rare and whatnot. Well, Gavin seems to take care of something else seriously lacking in webcomics:
Professional Wrestlers.
Being one, I find Gavin’s career choice to be awesome. Outside of a webcomic based on women’s wrestling, there’s fewer wrestlers than homosexuals in webcomics, and we should be represented with the masses.
@Polarized – Ethan from Shortpacked!, the main character. True, I can’t think of any others off the top of my head, but Shortpacked! (and everything else I’ve read by David Willis) is a wonderfully entertaining comic.
Female Midget Wrestlers, I now wish to see this.
*uses google*
oh, GOD, NO!
*Hopes the jock is gay?*
Sorry, but so many webcomics out there, none of them have a decent A-B list character that is male and gay.

Woot!
Don’t get me wrong, Questionable Content has a lesbian, and GWS has a gay guy, but they’re Sub-B list characters.

Thanks. Gavin is actually based on our good friend Myke, who is a wrestler in real life. He goes by Myke Quest and he wrestles in NJ and Ohio a lot.
And don’t worry, the wrestling will play into a storyline soon.
